Venue
SEBD 2026 will take place in El Rompido (Huelva, Spain), on the Atlantic coast of Andalusia, in the region known as the Costa de la Luz.
The Costa de la Luz (“Coast of Light”) stretches along the Gulf of Cádiz and is characterized by long sandy beaches, protected natural areas, coastal pine forests, and estuaries. The area around El Rompido is part of the Río Piedras marshlands, a natural landscape shaped by tidal dynamics and sand formations, including the well-known Flecha del Rompido.
Huelva province lies in southwestern Spain, bordering Portugal, and is known for its Atlantic coastline, mild autumn climate, and open natural spaces. The location offers a calm and concentrated environment suitable for scientific discussion while remaining easily accessible from major transport hubs.
The conference venue is Precise Resort El Rompido, located within walking distance of the village and coastal environment. All scientific sessions and accommodation will be hosted on site.
Transport
Complimentary transfers for the SEBD Meeting are included in the registration fees. Pickups from the airport and train station to the venue will take place on the morning of October 28th, and return trips will depart on the afternoon of October 30th.
By Air
The closest international airports are:

Seville Airport (SVQ) – approximately 120 km from El Rompido (around 1 hour 30 minutes by car).

Both airports offer regular connections to major European cities.
By Train
High-speed (AVE) trains connect Madrid to Seville (approx. 2h 30min). From Seville, El Rompido can be reached by car or bus.
There are also train connections to Huelva city, from where El Rompido is approximately 25 km away.
By Road
El Rompido is accessible via the A-49 motorway, which connects Seville and the Portuguese border. The final access is via regional roads toward Cartaya and El Rompido.
Local Transport
From Huelva city, El Rompido can be reached by taxi or regional bus services. Taxi transfer time is approximately 25–30 minutes.
